Expanding BlackSwan Capital’s engagement in India’s rapidly growing data centre and digital infrastructure market

BlackSwan Capital will be represented at DC Summit India 2026 in Mumbai on 17 September 2026, strengthening the firm’s engagement with one of Asia’s most dynamic data centre and digital infrastructure markets.

Narendra Gitay, Managing Partner & Head of Business Development APAC and Global Head of Commodities at BlackSwan Capital, will attend the summit together with Nitin Harne (Capgemini India), engaging with developers, operators, infrastructure companies, EPCs, technology providers, investors and other key stakeholders across the Indian data centre ecosystem.

The participation forms part of BlackSwan Capital’s broader strategy to expand its activities across digital infrastructure, energy infrastructure and data centres in India and the wider APAC region.

India’s Digital Infrastructure Opportunity

India’s rapidly expanding digital economy, increasing cloud and AI requirements, growing data consumption and demand for resilient digital infrastructure are creating significant investment requirements across the entire data centre value chain.

At the same time, the development of large-scale data centre capacity increasingly depends on much more than buildings and servers.

Power availability, grid infrastructure, renewable energy, energy storage, connectivity, land, technology and access to long-term capital are becoming decisive factors in delivering new capacity.

This convergence fits directly with BlackSwan Capital’s international platform.

The firm combines corporate and project finance capabilities with an international network across infrastructure, energy transition, data centres, technology, real estate and strategic resources. BlackSwan therefore sees opportunities not only in financing individual data centre projects, but also in connecting developers and operators with the wider ecosystem required to execute them.

Building Bridges Between India and International Capital

BlackSwan Capital has been steadily expanding its activities across APAC, with India representing an increasingly important market for the firm.

DC Summit India 2026 provides an opportunity to establish new relationships, identify projects and requirements at an early stage and explore partnerships where BlackSwan can connect Indian opportunities with international investors, infrastructure expertise, technology and strategic partners.

Martin Wolfram Steininger, Chairman & CEO of BlackSwan Capital, comments:

“Data centres are becoming one of the defining infrastructure asset classes of the coming decade. But the real opportunity goes far beyond the data centre itself. Power, grids, renewable generation, storage, connectivity, technology and capital increasingly have to be considered as one integrated infrastructure challenge. India has the scale, economic momentum and digital growth to become one of the key markets in this transformation. Our objective is to connect these opportunities with the international capital and capabilities required to execute them.”

For BlackSwan Capital, India is also an important bridge between its European activities and its growing network across Asia, the Middle East and other international capital markets.

Narendra Gitay, Managing Partner & Head of Business Development APAC and Global Head of Commodities at BlackSwan Capital, adds:

“DC Summit India gives us the opportunity to meet the people actually building India’s next generation of digital infrastructure. I want to understand where capacity is being created, where developers and operators see bottlenecks and where international capital, technology or strategic partnerships can accelerate execution. BlackSwan’s strength is its ability to connect these different worlds. I look forward to developing relationships that can turn into concrete projects and long-term partnerships across India and APAC.”

From Connections to Execution

BlackSwan Capital will use its presence at the summit to explore opportunities across the broader digital infrastructure value chain, including data centre development and financing, energy and grid infrastructure, renewable power supply, BESS, technology partnerships and international investor access.

The objective is not simply to expand the firm’s network.

It is to identify executable opportunities where BlackSwan Capital can bring together projects, capital and strategic capabilities across borders.

Meet BlackSwan Capital in Mumbai

Developers, investors, operators, EPCs, technology providers and other infrastructure partners attending DC Summit India 2026 on 17 September who would like to discuss potential cooperation with BlackSwan Capital are invited to contact Narendra Gitay directly to arrange a meeting in Mumbai.

India’s digital infrastructure build-out is accelerating.

BlackSwan Capital intends to be part of connecting the capital, infrastructure and partnerships behind its next phase.

When capital is critical, execution matters. 🦢
